Daimler Sovereign was a name applied by British manufacturer Jaguar Cars to a sequence of luxury automobiles built by it but carrying the Daimler badge between 1966 and 1983.
The Daimler Sovereigns were based on contemporary Jaguar bodyshells, chassis and engines in an example of badge engineering. Jaguar Cars took over The Daimler Company in 1960 and the 1966 Sovereign was the second Daimler to be based on a Jaguar model. The first was the 2½ litre V8 with a V8 engine designed by Edward Turner. Unlike the Daimler 2½ litre, the Sovereign had a Jaguar engine, marking the end for the Turner designed engines.
The first Daimler Sovereign was based on the 1966 Jaguar 420 and is sometimes referred to as the "Sovereign 420". Subsequent Sovereigns arose from the Series I, II and III...

One particular issue has to do with the effects of the digital revolution on firms and the measurement issues this gives rise to. One reason it is problematic to measure the "knowledge economy" at the national level is because it is difficult to... I wrote a section on the "The (non)theory of the knowledge firm" in Oxley, Walker, Thorns and Wang (2008). As has been emphasised by Carter (1996) it is problematic to measure knowledge at the national level in part because it is difficult to... Part of the reason for this is that none of the orthodox theories of the firm offer us a theory of the “knowledge firm” to guide our measurement.

To use the term ‘alternative’ just scares the ultra-conservative types, as they associate it with radical greenies preaching a total alternative lifestyle of neo-socialism and kum bah yah sing-alongs, dread locks and anti-development. Like the term ‘clean coal technology’ has conveniently dropped the final word ‘technology’, and morphed into the idea of simply ‘clean coal’ (in an obvious and little called out attempt to convince punters that burning coal can somehow be clean or... It is not ‘alternative’ in the radical green movement sense of the word. It is not truly renewable in any sense of the word, it will eventually run out (albeit in billions of years in the case of solar energy), but is a viable alternative to what we are relying on at the moment.

Promoting S Scale Model Trains The Lionel/Flyer waffle sided boxcar is out. While I have NO illusions that this is a "scale" model, over all it doesn't look too bad, at least better than I personally expected. It has the POTENTIAL for conversion to a FREELANCE 40' contemporary scale ... [...]
Promoting S Scale Model Trains Thanks for your message. I plan to get something written up for a future issue of the S Scale Resource magazine. I'm basically an NYC modeler but the NYC didn't use heap shields on any of their hoppers. I decided to model a few C&O and NKP cars for variety. [...]
Swiss watchmaker Eberhard & Co. is a brand known for diversity within its catalog, though it has probably garnered the most attention from collectors with its vintage-inspired modern watches. Among these are the Contograf chronograph, the Nuvolari Legend racing series, and, perhaps best known, the diving-focused Scafograf collection, which takes its inspiration from models in the 1950s and ‘60s. This year, the brand unveiled the latest addition to the Scafograf family: the...
Today marks a decade since WikiLeaks published the Iraq War Logs, the most comprehensive exposure of imperialist criminality and neo-colonial banditry since the Pentagon Papers of the 1970s revealed the scale of American military activities in Vietnam, and perhaps of all time.In minute detail, the logs exposed all of the lies used to justify the occupation of Iraq, revealing it to be a brutal operation involving the daily murder of civilians, torture, innumerable acts of imperialist thuggery...
